Hello!

I am Dr. Ying Cao, a Harvard-trained and affiliated psychiatrist and MIT-trained engineer with a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Genetics. I practice integrative, intentional psychiatry guided by concepts from systems engineering, developmental and cross-cultural psychology, traditional mind-body medicine, and modern molecular and systems medicine.

I would like to first extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of my patients, teachers, and colleagues for their ongoing training and inspiration. I feel very fortunate to be in a field of utter fascination that also offers endless opportunities to make a positive difference.

Even though branding as an expert for a particular diagnosis, targeted patient population, and/or treatment modality are often better for marketing and business growth, my years of clinical experience suggest a broader approach in managing both primary diagnosis as well as comorbidities using multiple treatment modalities often leads to the best outcome for patients.

As such, instead of being a specialist for a particular diagnosis or treatment modality, I focus on the most personalized and effective integration of various components of mental healthcare. In my daily practice, I combine the biopsychosocial and root-cause-resolution approaches and deliver personalized and integrative care that encompasses comprehensive assessment, up-to-date patient education, integrative psychotherapy and wellness care, biomarker-guided nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals, and psycho-pharmacogenetic testing.

With my team, we strive to implement the art, science, and technology of psychiatry as well as traditional and modern mind-body medicine to actualize health, fitness, and wellness that would serve as the basis for fulfilling and actualized lives.
