So glad you asked!
EMK is short for EudaiMeraKintsugi—a portmanteau of Eudaimonia, Meraki, and Kintsugi—
Eudaimonia, an Ancient Greek concept often translated as “human flouring” rather than mere happiness and represents the highest human good—a lifelong state of living well, acting virtuously, and realizing one’s true potential.
Meraki, a Greek word signifying the act of doing something with soul, creativity, or love—putting "something of yourself" into work or tasks—often used to describe work done with passion, devotion, and highest quality of craftsmanship.
Kintsugi, “golden joinery”, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with powdered gold. Rather than discarding or hiding the broken, Kintsugi embodies the philosophy of embracing flaws, enhancing resilience, and creating beauty in imperfection.
… three of our favorite concepts and manifestations we aspire to encapsulate in our services and to help instill in our patients' lives.
